Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): Some studies suggest that prazosin may be effective in reducing nightmares and other PTSD-related symptoms, although its use for this purpose is considered off-label. Raynaud's disease: PRAZOPRIME can help alleviate symptoms of Raynaud's disease, a condition that causes some areas of the body, such as fingers and toes, to feel numb and cold in response to cold temperatures or stress. PRAZOPRIME is taken orally and is available in capsule form. The dosage of prazosin must be carefully adjusted according to the patient's response to therapy, and it is often started at a low dose to minimize the risk of side effects. One of the known side effects when starting prazosin is the “first-dose“ effect, which can cause a significant drop in blood pressure upon standing, leading to dizziness or fainting.
