PERINDPRIM 4 Perindopril Erbumine BP(4mg) PERINDPRIM is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used primarily for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary artery disease. As a member of the ACE inhibitor class, PERINDPRIM works by inhibiting the enzyme that converts angiotensin I to the potent vasoconstrictor angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation, reduced blood pressure, and, consequently, decreased cardiovascular workload. Indications Hypertension: To lower blood pressure and prevent the complications associated with high blood pressure such as stroke and heart attack. Heart Failure: As part of the treatment regimen to improve survival and reduce hospitalization risk. Stable Coronary Artery Disease: To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of myocardial infarction and/or revascularization.
